About me
I have always had a restlessness in my heart, never quite feeling like I fully belong anywhere. As a result, I have scattered pieces of myself in various places across the world that I have had the privilege of calling home for a while. I have learned that home isn’t necessarily a place, it’s a feeling. And I have learned - although never gotten used - to live with the feeling of always missing something, someone, some place.
If I could, I would probably live and exist simultaneously in multiple places. I would hike mountains in British Columbia, have a fika in a red cottage in Gränna, stroll the busy streets of Chicago and Stockholm, bike with a basket of flowers through the Netherlands, swim in Swedish lakes and breathe the forest in Luxembourg from the horseback.
But that’s not how life goes. Life is where your feet are.
Experience
I have a BA in Journalism from Södertörn University Stockholm (Sweden) and an MA in International Communication from Groningen University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands). My passion is combining my two areas of expertise to foster sustainable development in all areas - whether it is how we see ourselves, the people we are surrounded by or the Earth we walk on.
While I started my career as a broadcast journalist, I now work as a freelance writer & photographer for various print and online publications covering a broad range of topics, with a preference for travel and sustainability. I also have experience in international communication work from the European Parliament as well as the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce.
I have currently taken on a project management role in the area of diversity management and intercultural competence development within the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility.
